In the section tournament, the Saints were the No. 1 seed, but lost to Delano, the No. 2 seed, in the semifinal. A 1-0 win against Princeton put SFHS back in the championship bracket with the task of defeating Delano twice. The Saints put together a 5-4 win against the Tigers to force a decisive championship game. The contest came down to the last out, but SFHS prevailed with a 2-1 victory.
