A Special Election for one seat on the St. Francis Area Schools School Board was held on Tuesday, Nov. 4. The winner of the special election will begin their appointment following the certification of the election results and serve on the board until Jan. 8, 2029.
Results on election night are unofficial until approved by the canvassing board. The meeting to confirm the election results of the SFAS School Board is scheduled for Monday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the District Office.
One candidate, Interim School Board member Jessica Bakken-Kleven, filed for the special election.
Unofficial election results, according to the Minnesota Secretary of State website, are as follows:
Jessica Bakken-Kleven, 539 votes (92.45%)
Write-in, 44 votes (07.55%)
