Cedar Creek Elementary School teacher, Katie Calvert has been recognized by the Minnesota Council on Economic Education(MCEE) as the MCEE Educator of the Year for Grades K-5. This recognition is annually awarded to three Minnesota Teachers. Katie was recognized for her outstanding achievement and innovation in teaching economics and personal finance to her students.
This years recipient's exemplified dedication and enthusiasm to improve the economic understanding of their students, both in and out of the classroom. These honorees received $1,000, a plaque, and a certificate certifying the achievement.
