Students journalists from SFHS attended the State Journalism Convention at the University of Minnesota yesterday where they received second place for best in show broadcast and sixth place for best in show website.
SFHS Media Adviser Glenn Morehouse Olson said, "(the students) engaged in sessions, interviewed people, and made connections.
I saw 2 SFHS alumni - Spencer White who is now the opinion editor at the Mn Daily and he was helping run the convention. Also - Lyle Pundt - who just graduated last year. He is majoring in Dance and we saw him on his way to Ballet class.
My reporters interviewed a KARE 11 reporter, university professors and other students. They also got some offers for support for our program from other professionals."
