Preschool Place 15 is for families with children age 2 ½ to kindergarten. The program provides a safe environment where young children of all abilities can grow and experience success, and their parents can be partners in learning. The program addresses development in all areas with particular attention to early literacy and social skills. A sliding fee scale and scholarships are available.
Preschool Place 15 School Readiness
Preschool Place 15 School Readiness is a program for families with children age 3 to kindergarten that is Parent Aware 4-Star rated. Preschool Place 15 provides a safe environment where young children of all abilities can grow and experience success, and their parents can be partners in learning. The program addresses development in all areas with particular attention to early literary and social skills. Programming takes place September through May.
Kindergarten Here I Come
This is a one-day-a -week preschool class for children who will begin kindergarten in the fall. Children may register for an individual class or as an add-on to another preschool class they are enrolled in. Children will experience a variety of activities especially geared toward children entering kindergarten in the fall. Activities will focus on emergent reading, math skills and social skills with lots of music and art included.
Designed to ease the transition from home to preschool! Stepping Stones preschool classes are offered for the winter semester. Children attend Stepping Stones preschool without their parents. Pebbles Early Childhood Family Education class is perfect for fall semester where children and parents attend together and have parent/child time and parent discussion with a parent educator.

How long is the school year?
Preschool Place 15 classes begin in September and end in May. Stepping Stones takes place during winter semester.
How long are the classes?
Preschool Place 15 offers one, two and three day per week classes that are 2-2.5 hours in length. A full day option is also available two days a week for six hours a day. Stepping Stones is one day each week and is offered during Spring semester. These classes are offered during morning, afternoon and evening.
Does my child need immunizations to attend Preschool or ECFE?
Children attending preschool or ECFE should have their immunizations. Please refer to the Minnesota Department of Health Immunization form for more information.
Is transportation available?
Transportation is available (based on space availability) within the school district boundaries for an additional fee. Transportation is not available for the Stepping Stones program. For the St. Francis Elementary School Site, transportation is available within the school's attendance area.
Are there fees?
Preschool Place 15, Kindergarten Here I Come and Stepping Stones are funded by tuition and Minnesota state funding called School Readiness which provides sliding fees for eligible families. Pathway I and II Scholarships are also available for Preschool Place 15. The sliding fee scale can be found in the Preschool Registration booklet.
How can I be an involved parent?
There are parent/child or parent only events through the year beginning with Peek at Preschool. Weekly Early Childhood Family Education classes and special events are other opportunities.
