Destination Kindergarten: Especially for
Fall 2020 Kindergartners and their Parents

Kindergarten is just a few short months away. Now is the time to think about what skills your child should have and the role you play in preparing your child for success in kindergarten. Children and parents will meet separately most of the class time. A panel of kindergarten teachers and parents will be present one of the nights. Be sure to bring your questions.

Celebrating Baby

A special day for you and your baby ages birth to
12 months. Enjoy songs and games together and meet others who are experiencing the joys and challenges of raising a baby. There will be a free
gift for each baby who attends

Fee:  FREE, but you must pre-register. Sibling care is also available for no fee, but you must pre-register.

Dad ’n Me Birth–Kindergarten

Calling all dads and kids! Come ready to play, build and have fun with activities that are chosen just for your special day together
Course:  EC 9704
Time:  10:30-11:30 a.m.
Fee:  $4/child, max $12/family, limit of 4 children/adult

Preschool Preview 2020-21

A time for preschoolers (as of 9/1/20) and parents to get a taste of Preschool Place 15. Play a bit, experience typical classroom activities, talk to teachers, learn about the curriculum…then you’ll have the information to decide about registering for the 2020-21 school year.
Time:  10:00-11:30 a.m.
Fee:  FREE

A Day With Your Sweetheart

Have your child bring their sweetheart (grandparent, parent, aunt, uncle) while dressed in their fanciest attire for a fun-filled morning. Dance to favorite songs with a DJ, create crafts, listen to stories, have a snack and take pictures. Make it a special day with someone you love!

Date:  Saturday, February 8
Time:  9:30-11:30 a.m.
Fee:  $3/child, max $7/family plus a non-perishable food item for the local food shelf

Minnesota Children’s Museum

Two hours of exploration in fun-filled, hands-on galleries where your child can learn through play. After a brief orientation, you and your child(ren) will spend self-guided time in the museum interacting with the materials that foster growth in all areas of development. Jumping on the bus and getting a ride to the front door is just an additional bonus to this trip. Bring a bag lunch for you and your child(ren) to eat before getting back on the bus.

Vehicle Day

Young children and parents can explore vehicles of many types, shapes and sizes. See them, touch them and even get inside some of them. Remember to dress for the weather as we will be outdoors.
