MnDOT hosts Hwy 47 open house • April 23
Posted 04/09/2019 11:24AM

Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is hosting an open house/listening session regarding Highway 47 in St. Francis

  • Tuesday, April 23, 2019
  • 4:30-7:30 p.m.
  • First Baptist Church located at 22940 St. Francis Boulevard NW in St. Francis

MnDOT, in partnership with Anoka County and the city of St. Francis, is studying potential improvements to Highway 47 between Cree Street NW and Highway 28 (Ambassador Boulevard NW) in the city of St. Francis. The four-lane divided highway currently has safety and access issues and is in need of long-term improvements. St. Francis Middle School and St. Francis Elementary School are located along this corridor.

Attendees to the open house are welcome to come and go at any time, and may view a presentation at 5:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. This listening session is the first step in a planning study of the Highway 47 corridor that will examine a range of alternatives to address pedestrian, bicycle and motorist safety and movement, as well as the role this corridor plays in the future of the city of St. Francis.

Before beginning the study, MnDOT wants to hear from you and understand:

  • Current concerns and barriers
  • Things you value most
  • Your future vision for the corridor

If you can't join in person, participate in an online meeting available April 24-May 10 and sign up for email updates at:
