Safety and Security at St. Francis Area Schools
Posted 03/13/2019 10:25AM

The safety and security of our students and staff are a top priority for St. Francis Area Schools. We are committed to providing your students a drug-free environment.

Last December, Superintendent Ferguson sent a letter to all St. Francis High School, Middle School and Learning Center parents and staff to inform them of an important safety measure the district will implement. St. Francis Area Schools is working with the Anoka County Sheriff's Department to bring drug sniffing dogs to conduct random searches of our buildings and parking lots throughout the year. The schedule will not be announced but the searches will begin in the near future. These searches will be ongoing and another resource for our administration working to keep our schools safe.

We do not take this matter lightly as the safety and security of our students and staff remains our number one priority. We want to assure you this is a proactive measure and one that is consistent with safety efforts at schools throughout the state.
