The following is an important message from Superintendent Troy Ferguson, St. Francis Area Schools

Numerous local and national weather forecasters are predicting continued extreme cold temperatures combined with dangerous wind chills reaching over forty degrees below zero throughout the morning tomorrow. For the safety of our students, I am announcing that school is canceled for St. Francis Area Schools on Thursday, January 31.

All daytime early childhood programs and preschool programs are canceled. All St. Francis Middle School programs are canceled. After school karate at Cedar Creek Elementary School and music class at East Bethel Elementary School are both canceled. Kids Connection is closed as well.

Due to scheduling make-up difficulties and the forecast improving in the afternoon tomorrow, St. Francis High School activities will resume at 2:00 p.m. or as previously scheduled. Community education activities and facility rentals will resume at 2:00 p.m. or as previously scheduled.

For questions concerning high school activities, please contact Activities Director Chris Lindquist at 763-213-1504.

Again, due to extremely cold weather conditions, school is canceled for St. Francis Area Schools January 31.
