Tomorrow is the CCES Walk-A-Thon

Get your walking shoes on because the Cedar Creek Elementary School Walk-A-Thon is tomorrow!  If you have not done so already, please make a pledge to help our CCES PTO raise funds for our students and our school.  It is not too late, and students will still be eligible for the prizes.  Remember, 100% of the funds students raise will go directly to CCES to benefit our students.

Parents are welcome to walk with their student(s).

The walking schedule is:

  • Grades K - 2:     9:30 - 10:30 am
  • Grades 3 - 5:     2:00 - 3:00 pm

PARENTS:  Please help your student dress appropriately for the weather; we will be walking outside, and the temperature tomorrow is expected to be in the low 50s and cloudy.

We are looking forward to tomorrow, and the CCES PTO thanks you for your contributions and participation!

Dressing for Fall Weather

Students will have outdoor recess most days.  Our recess staff are seeing many students in shorts and no jackets.  Please dress your children appropriately and prepared to play outdoors.  We want to remind you of our weather related clothing guidelines

  • 60 degrees or higher - short/long sleeve shirts
  • 46 to 59 degrees - light jacket/hooded sweatshirts
  • 45 degrees or lower - winter coat, hats, and gloves

In addition, please consider labeling these items of clothing because, as you know, some of these items may go missing.

Bully Prevention Coloring Contest

In observation of National Bully Prevention Month, Cedar Creek will again be having a Bully Prevention Coloring Contest.  Your student will be receiving a coloring sheet tomorrow in school, and they have the opportunity to submit their sheet for the contest.  The winners - one for each grade level, will have their sheets displayed in the school entryway and participate in a special pizza party at the St. Francis Police Department.  Officers will come to school, pick up the students after school in their police cars and transport them to the police station in St. Francis.  The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 11, 2019.  Students may either turn them in to their classroom teacher or in the office.  Please make sure that the

student's name and teacher's name are on the coloring sheet.
