Family Conferences

Winter Conferences are scheduled for Monday, February 4 and Thursday, February 7 from 4-9 PM. If you have not already done so, go to myconferencetime.org/eastbethel to register for your child's conference. If you do not have access to register online, contact your child's teacher direct to schedule a time.

Lost & Found

Our lost and found items will be displayed on tables in the main hall the week of February 4-8. Please take a moment when you are here for conferences or visiting for lunch to look through the piles and see if any of the items belong to your students. Items not claimed by Friday at 4 PM will be donated.

It's Book Fair Time!

Out last book fair of the year will take place the week of conferences and will be open from 4-9 PM on conference nights.  Take a little extra time to browse the many books available and find that perfect book for yourself and your children, while supporting our school at the same time.

Spring Picture Day

Spring pictures will be taken on Thursday, February 14. Visit mylifetouch.com and enter Picture Day ID: MI318084Y0 to order online. We are looking for 3 volunteers to help the photographers for the day.  If you are able to help out, Lifetouch extends a free picture package (Picture Package A) for volunteering. If interested, please call the office at (763) 213-8900. You do need a background check on file to help out.

KC Express
Kids Connection is excited to announce a new care option, KC Express! This child care option is available to families who are looking for 30 minutes or less of care before the start of the school day. KC Express provides the same great care you would expect from Kids Connection beginning at 8:25 a.m.each day. The fee is $2 per day or $10 per week. Registration is required and drop-ins are not accepted. Contact Kids Connection at (763) 213-1641 or check out the Kids Connection website for more information or to register.

Kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year will take place Tuesday, February 26 from 5-7 p.m. Registration packets will be available online at the district website, isd15.org, in early February.

Minnesota state law requires all children complete an early childhood screening before entering kindergarten. The last screening dates for this school year are scheduled for March 19 and 21.

What to bring to registration:

  • Immunization Records
  • Copy of Legal Birth Certificate (not hospital certificate)
  • Verification of Early Childhood Screening

Can't make it to registration? Fax completed registration materials to 763.434.7627 or email annie.mickelburg@isd15.org.

Questions regarding registration should be directed to the school at (763) 213-8900

Help Your Student Stay Dry at School

There has been a significant increase in students requesting a change of pants and socks from the health office due to them becoming wet on the playground. Please consider packing an extra pair of pants and socks in your child's backpack in case they experience such an event. Unfortunately, the health office does not have the means to help our students in these situations.

We're Hiring!
There are a few openings at EBES that may fit your schedule and afford you an opportunity to make some money and still be home when your kids are home. Currently we have openings in the following areas:

  • Recess EA (11:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
  • Lunchroom Monitor (11:15 AM - 1:45 PM)
  • Special Education Educational Assistant
    (Mornings from 8:40-11:55 AM)
  • Special Education EA (8:40 AM - 3:40 PM)

If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, complete and submit an application, which can be found on the  Employment tab of the district website.

School Breakfast and Lunch
Did you know EBE offers breakfast daily? Students can get a nutritious, hot breakfast or grab-and-go for $1.45 or is available at no cost to all Kindergartners and students eligible for educational benefits. Students simply go right to the cafeteria after exiting the bus. This is a great option if students are running behind and don't have time to eat before they leave for school.

The school's hot lunch program also offers students a healthy meal during the day to help re-energize their minds and body. A student lunch is available for $2.30. Breakfast and lunch menus are being sent home with all students to show what options are available. Monthly menus can be found online at the district website under Nutrition Services.

Keep in mind, if you are struggling to make ends meet, you can apply for Educational Benefits throughout the school year. Based on qualifications, students can receive either free or reduced meal prices. Just complete the application and have your student give the form to their teacher to submit or mail to the address on the application. For questions regarding Educational Benefits refer to the district website or contact our Nutrition Services department at (763) 753-7015

Family Bingo
February 22, 2019

Join us from 6-8 PM for BINGO! Grab a blanket/chair along with your family for a fun game night filled with great prizes! There is no cost to play and concessions will be available for a small fee. There will also be a silent auction of fabulous items donated by the families of EBE to bid on. Contact your child's teacher if you would like to donate and are uncertain of the classroom theme.

Time is Running Out!

Our Box Top contest is coming to a close. All box tops need to be turned in no later than February 22 to qualify for the classroom contest.

We will continue to collect box tops through the end of the year even though the contest is over. Box Tops are an easy and simple way for our school to earn extra funds for things we need. We encourage you to keep collecting through the summer (just watch the expiration dates) so our potential to earn more profit increases. Thanks in advance for your efforts.
